5 Guys - Al-Khobar

Day 260...

So when you get to bigger cities in KSA you can often find someplace to eat that you can also find back in the states. When you don't live in the bigger cities, it is a real treat...

This time we are eating at the Al-Khobar version of 5 Guys Burgers & Fries...  I have been to 5 Guys in a bunch of different cities (Chicago, Houston, Huntsville, LA, Orlando, Tomball and Washington DC) but this is my first visit to an international location.  I highly recommend them in any city you are lucky enough to find them in...


The food was great!!! Even if I couldn't get real bacon on my burger...

And the staff was even better!!!  I think these guys had about as much fun as we did...

Setoff on a road trip to find AV equipment for the new building... Nothing really available in the Northern Province, so we now are on another Saudi road trip...

We are on a long, desolate desert road for over 1,200km...

My Birthday

While in KSA and working on this project I have met some great guys... Of course I could not hide the date of my Birthday, one of my guys has a memory that is just to good. 

So they took me out for a typically Saudi dinner...  The flavors of the food here can be unbelievable...

Mountain Bikes & Sunrises

So got a new mountain bike and was pulled out at the crack of dawn on my only day-off to go on my first ride.. like a 20km ride - my butt hurts, my legs hurt basically everything hurts...

Well I guess this sunrise is a nice reward...

Day 001...

Landed in Kingdom about 11:30PM local time - have a hour drive through on a bridge with an international checkpoint...  Must be ready for work at 06:30... I am starting to wonder what I got myself into...
